If your kid likes playing in the dirt or started their own vegetable garden in a cup, you should sign them up for the Fredericksburg Junior Master Gardeners program. This program will involve kids in planning, planting, caring for and harvesting their own garden, while doing games and activities to learn how plants grow. Sessions will be on Wednesdays from 4:30-5:30 pm at the Gillespie Extension Office, located at 38 Business Court in Fredericksburg. This program will run from September 22nd to November 17th. Cost for this program is twenty dollars per kid. Kids do not need to be a member of 4-H to participate. Pre-registrations are due September 20th. There is a five-kid minimum for the program to run. Age groups are 3rd-5th and 6th-8th. Age groups will be combined if registrations are low.
